Terms of Use

These terms govern use of foistudios.in, the public house of FACE OF INDIA trading as FOI Studios. By entering, joining, commenting or saving, you accept them.

They are the rules of this house. They are not a substitute for independent legal advice.

1. The house

FOI Studios publishes photography, film, music, analogue process and notes from Kolkata. The journal is for viewing, experience and learning. Nothing on this site is a licence to copy, scrape, resell, or train a model on the work.

2. Registrations

The studio operates as FACE OF INDIA / FOI Studios from Kolkata, West Bengal, India.

3. Membership

A free account lets you like, comment, save stories privately, and choose a digest. Public profiles stay modest. The studio may close an account that harms sitters, members, or the work.

4. Sitters, artists and NOC

Every public portrait and named artist story on this site is made with people who work with the house under documented NOC and agreement. We do not publish a sitter against that paper. If you believe a frame is here without consent, write to the desk with the URL.

5. What this site does not allow

foistudios.in does not allow nudity or explicit content. Comments that sexualise a sitter, demand private files, or treat a person as a product will be removed and the account closed.

Other rooms of the FOI network, if they exist, are marked separately and are never embedded here.

6. Scammers, resellers and thieves

The following are forbidden and will be met with a closed account, evidence kept, and a report to the platform or the police where the law asks it:

• Pretending to be FOI Studios, FACE OF INDIA, or Sourish Mukherjee
• Selling, leaking, or offering “sets”, RAW files, or member documents
• Scraping the journal, harvesting emails, or breaking into accounts
• Phishing, fake payment links, or “FOI casting” that we did not send
• Training models on our stills or essays without written permission

7. Your words

Comments must discuss the work, the ideas, or your own response. No harassment, hate, impersonation, or spam. We may hide or delete a comment that breaks the Community Guidelines.

8. The work

Photographs, films, text, design and music published by FOI Studios remain the house's (and, where agreed, the sitter's) property. Share the link. Do not lift the file. See Content and Copyright.

9. No warranty

The journal is offered as a dated public archive. We may correct, unpublish, or move a story. We are not liable for downtime, a lost comment, or a third-party sign-in failing.

10. Law

These terms are meant to be read under the laws of India, with the studio in Kolkata, West Bengal. If a part cannot be enforced, the rest still stands.

11. Changes

We will date a change at the top of this page. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
