About FOI Studios
Founded in Kolkata in 2017 as Face of India, FOI Studios began with a belief that photography could preserve more than beauty. It could hold emotion, trust and memory. What started with a camera has grown into a cinematic world of photography, films, music, artists and visual stories from India. Through every project, we continue preserving real people, real feelings and creative history, one frame at a time.

Story
FOI Studios was founded in Kolkata in 2017, first as Face of India. The early years were spent learning how a camera could keep faith with a person standing in front of it. The studio grew from still photography into films, music, artist collaborations and a set of sister sites — always with Kolkata as the ground note. This journal is the next movement: a house for daily work that social platforms cannot be trusted to keep.
Philosophy
We believe a picture is a contract. It should still mean something when the algorithm has moved on. FOI publishes slowly enough to remain human, and permanently enough to remain findable. We do not invent applause. We do not fake counts. We keep the work dated, authored and editable.

Founder
Sourish Mukherjee
FOI Studios is led from Kolkata by Sourish Mukherjee — photographer, director and composer. Daily practice lives on Instagram at @msourish and @foi.studios, on YouTube at FOI Official, and on Behance at behance.net/msourish. This site does not replace those rooms; it gives the studio a lock of its own.
Artists and Muses
FOI works with artists and muses as collaborators, not props. Artist stories in the journal are written with consent, kept public-safe on this main site, and dated like any other record. The courtyard sitting that opens this archive is the tone we intend to keep.
