Tanisha Atrey, Middletown set

Sourish MukherjeeLTM· 5 September 2026

A July 2025 portrait of Tanisha Atrey at Middletown, Kolkata. Sets built in 48 hours with handmade cakes, puff, and 400W RGB panels.

What we built

I'm writing this to explain some sets we made with full production work in 48 hours.

I'm sharing a photo of Tanisha Atrey from July 2025. We shot at Middletown, Kolkata.

Food on the table

We used original handmade cakes and puff. Real pieces, made for the set. That gave the frame something you can almost taste. No fake stand-ins.

Light and camera

For light we used 400W RGB panels. Soft control, quick to move, good colour when we needed it. We kept the kit small and worked the room.

We shot on a Sony A7 IV with a 20mm. Wide enough for the table, the cakes, and Tanisha in one breath. The lens sits close to the scene without stepping back into a big empty hall.

The clock

Forty-eight hours. Build the sets, place the food, light it, shoot. That was the whole run. I'm putting this note here so the still makes sense when you see it: handmade food, RGB panels, A7 IV and 20mm, Middletown, July 2025.
