Behind the Archive: Making FOI.ONE Easier to Explore

Today, much of my work happened behind the photographs. I focused on organising the FOI.ONE Google Drive archive, making membership benefits clearer and improving how members find and access their collections.

An archive carries years of creative decisions, collaborations and memories. As FOI has grown, I have realised that looking after this work also means making it easier for the people supporting it to explore.

Making access simpler

One of the biggest frustrations has been having to request access to individual folders. I wanted to make that process simpler.

The updated structure organises collections under membership tier master folders. Once your correct Google account has been given access to your tier’s master folder, you can explore the included collections without sending separate requests for every folder.

New collections added within that same shared folder structure will also be accessible, according to your membership benefits.

Giving years of work a clearer home

This round of organisation covers archive material from November 2018 to November 2025, arranged around tiers and model collections.

For me, these folders hold more than finished photographs. They hold different stages of my journey, the artists I have collaborated with and the ideas we brought to life together. Giving that work a clearer structure is part of preserving it.

The 2025–2026 collections are the next phase. I will share further updates as that material becomes available.

To make the instructions easier to find, I have also brought eight Drive access posts together in one dedicated FOI.ONE collection.

Clearer information before you join

Alongside the archive work, we have simplified the membership tier descriptions.

I want you to understand what a membership includes before you choose it: which collections are available, what archive access is included and how those benefits are delivered.

You can now review the tier details and available benefit delivery information, including Drive access status, through the FOI.ONE membership page. The updated Start Here guide explains where to begin.

If something is missing, tell us

If your Drive access has not been provided, a folder is still requesting permission or an included benefit is missing, please email foi.fashionindia@gmail.com.

Share your Patreon account email, membership tier, Google account used for Drive and the affected folder link. This helps my team find the issue and assist you more quickly. Our support team works Monday to Saturday, with Sunday off.

Some days, building FOI means creating new photographs, films or music. Today, it meant taking care of the work already created and making the experience better for the people who support it.
